Flagler Sunrise Dictionary Project

Flagler Sunrise donates dictionaries to a number of 5th graders in Palm Beach County.

Flagler Sunrise donates School Supplies!

Kiwanis Club of Flagler Sunrise recently donated 190
boxes of school supplies to Berkshire Elementary School in West Palm Beach.
Club members raised $535 to purchase the supplies and 170 boxes. RE/MAX Realty in
West Palm Beach, donated 20 boxes for a total of 190. The boxes were packed with
pencils, color markers, scissors and glue sticks.
MDA LockUp

Kiwanis "busted" for a cause!
Kiwanis Club of Flagler Sunrise helped raise over
$3,400 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association
by bailing out members from the MDA lockup!
Wednesdays are Sundaes
at the Property Appraiser's Office

The Palm Beach County Property Appraiser's Office grasciously sponsored this great
fundraiser. For four weeks, Flagler Sunrise served ice cream sundaes and root beer floats raising more than $500!
Several club members have offered to match these funds in support of our "Dictionary Project". More details on this
exciting community service will be forthcoming!

Flagler Sunrise teams up with Northside
and provides meals for over 100 homeless.
Flagler Sunrise helps Court Acquire Video Testifying Equipment
Flagler Sunrise has raised $4,878 to help the 15th Circuit Court purchase
video testifying equipment to help reduce tramua to children who have to testify in Court proceedings.

Flagler Sunrise recieves $2,800 grant from the Florida Kiwanis Foundation
These funds will be added to what has already been raised to purchase video equipment for
the Juvenile Circuit Court of Palm Beach County. More Details to come!

Flagler Sunrise provides 20 community service hours as Readers for
the Let's Read Program
Since September, members of the Kiwanis Club of Flagler Sunrise have read over
60 books to 340 students at Pleasant City Elementary in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Library "Let's Read" Program.

15th Anniversary Banquet
Flagler Sunrise celebrates its 15th year and recognized Bill Weber for his years of service as Treasurer, Brenda Dye as Kiwanian of the Year, Vincent Jay was recognized for 25 years of perfect attendance and Eddie Stephens was awarded a Hixson Fellowship. Ray Anderson was recognized for serving the club as President.
Yorston Elected State Treasurer

H. Phillip Yorston recently was elected treasurer of the Florida Kiwanis District at the annual convention in Jacksonville. Phil's term began October 1st.
Phil joined Kiwanis International in 1988 and co-founded the Kiwanis Club of Flagler Sunrise in 1989. In 1999, he served as lieutenant governor of Kiwanis Division 20 in Palm Beach County.
